GIFPP 2025: Young People Leading an Investment Trend for a Humanitarian and Sustainable Future
June 25, 2025

The Global Investment & Partnership Forum for Peace and Prosperity 2025 (GIFPP 2025) was held from June 7 to 9 at the InterContinental Bangkok hotel, attracting nearly 300 delegates from 14 countries and territories

Not only a gathering of leaders, international experts, and entrepreneurs, the forum strongly called for a new wave of investment—investing with social responsibility, driven by innovation and technology.

Vietnam – From Vision to Action for Sustainable Development

In his opening remarks, Mr. Abraham Nguyễn Quang Huy—Chairman of the Vietnam National Startup Innovation Forum (VNSIF) and founder of GIFPP—stated: “GIFPP is not merely an event. It is a global action movement—where young people are inspired to lead change through technology, creativity, and a sense of responsibility for the future.”

He emphasized that sustainable change requires investment to be closely linked with education, technology, and empowerment of Generation Z—the force shaping tomorrow’s world. Mr. Đinh Hoàng Linh, Consul General of Vietnam in Bangkok, affirmed the vital role of young Vietnamese in fostering cross-border cooperation

Two Main Sessions: Innovation, Impact Investment, and Sustainable Technology

The first session explored the connection between startups and the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Dr. Martin Spraggon Hernandez, Advisor to the Dubai government, highlighted AI and blockchain’s role in creating a global ecosystem, connected through the 9S UNION initiative

Mr. Roger Leitner, Chairman of the Swiss‑ASEAN Chamber of Commerce, noted: “Close public–private partnerships are key to Switzerland’s leading edge in sustainable innovation. We look forward to supporting Asian startups on the global stage.”

Ms. Trần Thanh Thảo, CEO of ACI Capital (an ASEAN investment fund), added: “Young startups today need not only creativity but also impact in areas like green energy, sustainable education, and inclusive finance.”

The second session emphasized technology in social-impact startup projects. Dr. Đinh Việt Hòa, President of the Vietnam National Startup Association, stated: “Startups need to go global. By integrating core technologies such as AI, blockchain, or fintech, Vietnamese startups can spark positive global change.”

Mr. Tonny Tong, Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Blockchain Association, added: “Blockchain isn’t just financial tech. It also helps transparently track carbon emissions and optimize resources—especially relevant to impact investment models.”

9S UNION – Linking Vietnamese Startups to the World

A key highlight of GIFPP 2025 was the launch of 9S UNION—a global economic consortium connecting startups, investors, and public–private organizations worldwide. Dr. Francis Gaudreault, Strategic Advisor to the Abu Dhabi government, described it as “a platform enabling cross-border startups to access capital, share technology, and build a fair, transparent, responsible investment environment.”

During the forum, numerous MOUs were signed with representatives from 12 countries, committing to invest in at least 10 promising startup projects.

In the context of climate change, inequality, and health crises, GIFPP 2025 rang an urgent bell to the global community—especially the youth—to transform investment mindsets—from pure profit toward creating long-term value for society and the planet

GIFPP 2025 concluded with high expectations—more than idealistic appeals, it resulted in concrete commitments and actions from governments, investors, the startup ecosystem, and young people worldwide. Mr. Abraham Nguyễn Quang Huy emphasized: “We invest not to win the profit race, but to leave a legacy of peace and prosperity for future generations.”

The youth are at the forefront of transformation. GIFPP 2025 reminds us: you don’t need to be wealthy to make an impact. A bold idea, a responsible action, or a socially-driven startup can all contribute to building a better future.
