
Recently, the Global Investment and Partnership Forum for Peace and Prosperity (GIFPP) took place in Thailand, attracting nearly 300 delegates.
The event brought together many senior leaders, international experts, investors, entrepreneurs, start-ups and media representatives from 14 countries and territories.
Within the framework of the event, the Global Economic Union 9S UNION was officially announced, marking an important step forward in international cooperation towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The GIFPP forum was attended by many senior leaders such as: Mr. Pinij Jarusombat, Former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Mr. Mom Luang Kritthanabodee Charunroj – Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Volunteer Doctors Committee (P.O.S.) under the patronage of the Royal Thai Government; Lieutenant General D.Ch. Narawat Charoenrue – Director General of the Royal Thai Police; Mr. Dinh Hoang Linh – Vietnamese Consul in Thailand; and strategic advisors from the governments of the UAE, Dubai and many countries.
Speaking at the opening of the forum, Mr. Abraham Nguyen Quang Huy – Chairman of the National Startup Investment Fund (VNSIF), Founder and Co-Chairman of GIFPP – emphasized: “GIFPP is a global movement promoting technology, innovation and startups associated with social responsibility to solve urgent challenges of humanity such as climate change, poverty, health crisis and education.”
Mr. Abraham emphasized the need to shift investment thinking from short-term to long-term, from pure profit to social responsibility, especially in key areas such as AI, IoT, Blockchain, Fintech, smart infrastructure, clean energy, education and healthcare. In particular, he highlighted the role of Gen Z – those who will inherit and lead this planet – need to be empowered through education and innovation.
The forum includes two main discussion sessions: “Innovative startups linked to SDGs” and “Application of breakthrough technology in social impact investing”. The topics focus on integrating new technology and human spirit into global investment orientation.

The plenary session on “Innovation and Entrepreneurship & the Sustainable Development Goals – A New Path for Sustainable Development” was moderated by Professor, Dr. Martin Spraggon Hernandez (Strategic Advisor to the Government of Dubai & Abu Dhabi), Co-Chair of the GIFPP Forum.
Professor Dr. Martin Spraggon Hernandez – Strategic Advisor to the Government of Dubai & Abu Dhabi, Co-Chair of GIFPP – moderated the discussion on innovation and sustainable development. He emphasized the need to turn ideas into reality through a global cooperation model based on trust, sharing and practical action.
Dr. Roger Leitner – President of the Swiss-ASEAN Chamber of Commerce, Co-Chair of GIFPP – committed to spreading the spirit of humanistic investment cooperation, where innovation not only creates profits but also brings value to the community and the planet.
Dr. Praveen Maghelal – Policy Advisor to the Government of Abu Dhabi – shared the development model combining green finance and advanced technology in the UAE, and called on countries to learn and customize to suit their own context.

In the second session, Dr. Dinh Viet Hoa – Chairman of the Vietnam National Startup Association – affirmed: “Global startups are not only an economic opportunity but also a driving force for social change, especially when combined with AI, Blockchain and Fintech.”

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Lan Trung, President of the Vietnam Linguistics Association, Permanent Vice President and General Secretary of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese, shared about opportunities for overseas Vietnamese.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Trung – President of the Vietnam Linguistics Association, Permanent Vice President and General Secretary of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese shared about the opportunities for overseas Vietnamese, he said: “Currently, Vietnamese people are in 130 countries and territories, with more than 6 million people, most of them in developed countries, with high positions, being experts and technology engineers in many industries and fields, the annual remittances to the country are more than 20 billion USD, which is a huge resource for investment in development, especially sustainable development projects of the United Nations, also a resource for connecting and promoting with host countries, creating momentum for economic diplomacy development and contributing to the implementation of sustainable development goals in the world, for peace and prosperity”.
The highlight of the forum was the official launch ceremony of the 9S UNION Global Economic Union with the participation of representatives from 12 countries. Professor, Dr. Martin Spraggon Hernandez – founder of 9S UNION – and delegates signed a commitment to take practical action for the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations.

9S UNION aims to build an open ecosystem where investors, startups, businesses and governments cooperate to promote breakthrough initiatives with clear and long-term social impact. This initiative is expected to become a cross-border connection platform, inspiring the humanistic spirit in global investment.
Along with that, 12 Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) were signed, opening the first phase including 10 key projects implemented in ASEAN countries, UAE, Africa and Europe. The projects focus on education, healthcare, green energy, new technology, poverty reduction and improving the quality of life.
In addition to professional sessions, the Forum also organized a multinational cultural exchange Gala program with the theme “For Peace and Prosperity”, demonstrating the multi-dimensional connection between cultures, arts and people around the world.
Notably, the music project “Thien tam dai dia – Anh em four be mot nha” (Kindness of the Earth – Brothers from all over the world) that singer and musician A Tuan has nurtured for 20 years has been officially announced and received funding from 9S UNION and VNSIF Fund. The project aims to spread the cultural values and national identity of Vietnam globally.
The GIFPP event is not only an investment forum, but also a gathering space for hearts and minds with the same ideal: creating a prosperous, peaceful and sustainable future for humanity. From Bangkok, a strong call has been sent out – that investment must be linked to social responsibility, that innovation must go hand in hand with humanity, and that the future can only be built through global cooperation.
