Recently, the Global Investment Forum for Peace and Prosperity (GIPP) officially took place at the InterContinental Bangkok Hotel, Thailand, gathering nearly 300 delegates from 14 countries and territories. The event was attended by government leaders, international experts, investors, businessmen and media representatives.

The GIFPP forum was attended by many senior leaders such as: Mr. Pinij Jarusombat, Former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Mr. Mom Luang Kritthanabodee Charunroj – Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Volunteer Doctors Committee (P.O.S.) under the patronage of the Royal Thai Government; Lieutenant General D.Ch. Narawat Charoenrue – Director General of the Royal Thai Police; Mr. Dinh Hoang Linh – Vietnamese Consul in Thailand; and strategic advisors from the governments of the UAE, Dubai and many countries.
In his opening speech at the forum, Mr. Abraham Nguyen Quang Huy – Chairman of the National Startup Investment Fund (VNSIF), Founder, Co-Chairman of GIFPP affirmed: “GIFPP is a global movement. Here, technology, innovation and global startups are promoted, social responsibility converges to solve urgent global challenges such as climate change, poverty, inequality and education and health crises in the world that cannot be solved by any organization or country alone, this planet is calling for help, this planet needs us to join hands to build in love, for peace and common prosperity”.

Mr. Abraham emphasized the need to shift investment thinking from short-term to long-term, from pure profit to social responsibility, especially in key areas such as AI, IoT, Blockchain, Fintech, smart infrastructure, clean energy, education and healthcare. At the same time, he also called for empowering Gen Z – those who will inherit this planet through education, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.
The forum held two main discussion sessions, focusing on key topics: Innovation linked to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations and applying breakthrough technology to social impact investment projects.
The plenary session themed “Innovative Entrepreneurship & Sustainable Development Goals – A New Path for Sustainable Development” moderated by Dr. Martin Spraggon Hernandez (Strategic Advisor to the Government of Dubai & Abu Dhabi) created a remarkable buzz.

In his presentation, Mr. Roger Leitner – President of the Swiss-ASEAN Chamber of Commerce, stated: “Switzerland is committed to spreading the spirit of humanistic investment cooperation, where innovation not only brings profits but also opportunities for communities and the planet.”

In addition, Dr. Praveen Maghelal (Government of Abu Dhabi) shared experiences from impact innovation projects in the UAE, affirming the feasibility of combining green finance and advanced technology.
Associate Professor – Doctor Nguyen Lan Trung – President of the Vietnam Linguistics Association, Permanent Vice President and General Secretary of the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese shared about the opportunities for Vietnamese people abroad, he said: “Currently, Vietnamese people are in 130 countries and territories, with more than 6 million people, most of them in developed countries, with high positions, being experts and technology engineers in many industries and fields, the annual remittances to the country are more than 20 billion USD, which is a huge resource for investment and development, especially sustainable development projects of the United Nations, also a resource for connecting and promoting with host countries, creating momentum for economic diplomacy development and contributing to the implementation of sustainable development goals in the world, for peace and prosperity”.

Ms. Tran Thanh Thao – General Director of ACI Capital shared about the vision of sustainable investment and social impact in the fund’s long-term strategy, especially emphasizing the need for public-private cooperation to expand the innovation network.
In the second session with the theme “Application of AI, Blockchain, Fintech in impact technology investment”, Dr. Dinh Viet Hoa – Chairman of the Vietnam National Startup Association emphasized: “Global startups are not only an economic opportunity but also a driving force for social change, especially when supported by the public.

Within the framework of the forum, the official launching ceremony of the 9S UNION Global Economic Union and the signing of the commitment to participate in the development of the 9S UNION Global Economic Union by representatives of 12 countries took place. Also at the forum, 12 Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) were signed with the participation of 12 countries and investment organizations, focusing on implementing phase 1 of 10 key projects in ASEAN countries, UAE, Africa and Europe, aiming to solve social issues such as education, healthcare, poverty reduction, improving the quality of life, developing green energy and new technology for the benefit of humanity; calling on parties to participate in investment development for peace and common prosperity.
